Especially in Newcastle. We'd somehow have to drag the Mungo drunks out after the Knoughts games and allow for idiot motorcyclists jumping over giant mounds of dirt a couple times a year.

If the two competitions were split summer and winter I would suggest the winter comp return to Australs (Breakers) stadium but we have probably got to the point where Australs doesn't have the capacity anymore.

The biggest problem nationally though is probably getting the FFA executive to actually work for 12 months a year instead of 6. Can't see it happening.

    Any other thoughts?

You then claimed Brattan was "awful" at shooting from range, then brought up how he has a worse goal:game ration than a completely different player.

RAM then said that isn't all-telling because the player you decided to compare him to has a much higher quantity of shooting, rather than look at the quality that Brattan provides.

RAM hasn't fapped, or anything like that. You've just continually slammed everything that he hasn't even exactly said.

And fwiw I wholeheartedly disagree with you - Brattan is not "awful" at long range shooting. I think it is a terrific trait of his, albeit a somewhat reserved one. The reason he probably hasn't received the Row-Z-esque nicknames is becuase the percentage of his long shots being on target and/or a goal are much higher than Zad's. Maybe the fact that Brattan reserves the quantity of long-shots, and rather keeps possession due to his teams philosophy, is another glowing feature of his game. Something which i think RAM has actually attempted to say.

And topically, I will hashtag this with #shotsfired
    Betrayed by a gypsie

And come on, the guy thinks Virgili and Ramsay would be a great signing, FFS! Those points are the ones that really got me.

That makes it 2 months off season instead of almost 5 months off season at the moment ....... If you put FFA cup in the equation then we pretty much play all year round..........Also the 2 comps winners (Apertura and Clausura) play in Asian cup as well as winner of the FFA cup ........TV (Foxtel) should like that........Thoughts?....
I've floated similar ideas but based more on the Eerste Divisie in Netherlands. They play 4 periods, everyone playing everyone once in each. The overall points total decides who the "champion" of the league is, the winner of each period go into the promotion playoff and the next best 4 based on overall points (or however many is required if best overall points are already promoted) make up an 8 team playoff.

Something like that could work here... overall points = Champion. Winner of each period (since everyone seems to say finals football is the only thing that keeps end of season interesting) + champion + enough total points to make our farcical top 6 = finals football format we already have.

15 years with FC Barcelona Academy and a UEFA Pro Licence. Decent credentials for a coach.

Sure RAM would have liked him to have 20 years as manager at a big club before joining an A-League club as a coach though

i did enjoy that it only took about 6 posts for someone to point out that ISIS is funded by Obama and Saudi Arabia.

who said Wanderers fans were silly.

I think that is a great idea to be honest, something that should have been done with the Fury and GC. I believe the AFL did this with the Suns and Giants.

It allows them to build a squad of 16,17,18 year olds for a year or 2 then come into the HAL. Would build some brand awerness and a fan base, instead of going in cold.

And what potential Owner wouldn't love a couple years of relative low running cost before joining the league, they would basically be running a NYL Team for 2 years.

Obviously they would have to sign some experienced and Marquee players when they enter the league, but they would have a very solid foundation to build on.

Then when the A League does eventually expand 17/18 season? They would have 2 established teams pretty much ready to go.

    Plenty of options
    Canberra
    2nd Brisbane Team
    Southern Sydeny
    South Coast
    South Melbourne
    Geelong
    2nd NZ Team
