    Excited by this tbh.

He's no pirlo or lampard, but that level of marquee player will now always go to mls.

He's played at the top level in Europe, he'll win games for us in his sleep.
Big call Gaz but I just get a gut-feeling with Miller that he wouldn't have signed Leonardo if he was a dud and unfit etc. like a few on here are indicating.
All we need now is a quality #9 and we may yet challenge for that 6th spot that has eluded us for so long....LOL

I think the only reason he left 1860 Munich was that his coach was sacked and the new coach that came in didn't want to play him for reasons which don't appear to be form related. Prior to that he'd played 8 games and scored twice.

Agree with Q - this bloke will absolutely kill the A-league. Great signing.

And if he doesn't, We've only signed him for one year. I'm pretty comfortable with this signing.

Yeah but if he does kill it he'll be poached by the Smurfs in a heartbeat.

I guess Leonardo is in the same sort of boat as David Carney in terms of not playing for an extended period of 8 months in Carney's case. Carney has come back looking very fit and hungry.

Different reason for their break, sure, but let's hope Leonardo has the same desire

Reading his Instagram he looks to have the right mindset, no Jonny Steele repeats.

I think at this stage that is probably our strongest lineup with the back four virtually picking themselves and Poljak and Watson the logical choices in the middle considering Kanta is coming back from groin surgery. I would switch Carney and Alivodic however as Carney looked pretty effective playing on the right and cutting in but mainly because in that Perth game when Enver came on it was clear that he has a good understanding with Leaky Gee. We build on this combination and allow it to flourish it will be a key weapon for us on the left for this coming season.

How many players have come to the HAL direct from Bundesliga 2 though? Berisha? Who else?
Broich, Vidosic (pre Adelaide), Djulbic (pre GCU)

That's not a bad group. It's harder to come up with failures....Tiago is the best I can do

once we get our number 9, looking at our squad our weakness i think is RB and CM. RB is obvious, and for CM i rate Poljak but we're lacking a quality second.
