i mean ill go to the wall for you but seriously this is some next level silly shit.

you realise the governing body has a copy of all contracts for players. the rorts are going on outside the contracts lodged.
so 'the public' (in their ever growing need to feel included) will see the exact same contracts.
so if there is cheating no one at FFA HQ, or you out there with your casio calculator is gonna pick up it with the info on the lodged contract.

what players get is none of the fans business. you want that info, how bout we post their sexual orientation too? or if they are having an affair with someone?
what else you wanna know about someone that aint got shit to do with you? maybe all players need to do a Q and A with the 'fans' before they sign just to make sure we are ok with them coming to wear our precious shirt.

fans are the ****ing worst people.
    get over yourselves.

I know I'm going off a tangent here but it is indirectly related to the issue in the way sportsmen are increasingly being exposed by the powers that be.
Same as cameras in change rooms, do we need to see what is going on before the game or at half-time in the dressing sheds?
The change rooms should be a sporsman's sanctuary, pretty sure in Europe and South America they don't allow this sort of shite.

Also, in this day and age of equality why aren't cameras allowed in female sporting teams change rooms?

What, they'll lie to the FFA but post the real figures 'for the fans'?

All of the aforementioned breaches of salary caps across those other codes were all brought to light because of whistle blowers.
Not through the governance of the relevant association and certainly not from a bunch of spotty teenagers with their Mulder and Scully detective kit.

So as for your issues with intrusion into players private life's well this to me is a separate issue.

What is the crux of this issue is the governing body the FFA are trying to be proactive and show their comp is above board with the salary cap

Compared to drugby league they are actually not walking around with their head in the sand.

Now Rugby League have obviously had Bulldogs Storm and Eels involved in massive salary cap issues.

They are still walking around clueless trying to deal with it.

FFA have only had the Glory fiasco to deal with

The Eels issue has sounding warning bells at FFA HQ and kudos to them they are prepared to act

Yeah you right the dodgy shit with paper bags twin contracts etc is the bit that will still go on. But by exposing the player payments publically eliminates any claims of the club they are not responsible for shonky shit as if a Storm Glory Eels or Bulldogs situation was to happen again then the public and FFA will know full well they were attempting to cheat and got caught fair and square

    This is all it is.

Front foot initiative to be transparent publically by the FFA to cover the game from needless scandal.
It is basically showing the world what is going on and everything is in order

If scandal comes then the club responsible has the blame directed squarely at them

Take the Eels situation the publicity has damaged the integrity of the NRL in the eyes of the fans media and sponsors.
Everyone associated with it pays the price. Not just the Eels players fans and Management.
    Everyone

The FFA are on the front foot here and need to be applauded for their bold action

As for the players wages being exposed publicly. Well once the thing is done once it won't be an ongoing issue anyway.

The US athletes don't give a **** after years of it going on.
As for the Aussie players after the PFA exploiting the game for years with excessive unsustainable wages I will have no sympathy for them losing this battle.

Mind you they FFA won't be getting away with this idea easily. The PFA will make one of the best sing and dances about it you will ever see when the FFA try publically listing player wages

I don't know what all the fuss is about.
It is just a Public relations exercise by the FFA.
They are "trying to be transparent" without doing anything, after all its the clubs that are doing all the work here. What exactly is the FFA doing??
Those that cheat the system, dare I say it, are a lot smarter than MFKS, or as someone said (I think Plague- someone with a detector kit) publishing or not publishing are not going to stop the cheating/cheaters.
MLS publish salaries- they do so as a marketing tool - not as a cheating/catching tool.
There are as all things in life advantages and disadvantages of publishing the wages of players. I would like to listen to both of the before making my mind up.

Agree, it's a good thing. Certainly a move to encourage more families to head down. IF we can get more people there it will commence the process of rebuilding the perception of the derby to the heights it was years ago.

Being facetious, I could say there is access to our 13th match as a member next year.

    So is this thing reciprocal??

Gypos get free entry here. We get free entry there??

    If so great idea.

Be even better if away fans travelling interstate were given free entry too.

If you can make the effort to get on a plane to a game then getting free entry be some compensation for your efforts

A-League website has an article in which Miller says we will announce the signing of a midfielder in the next 3-4 days

Also Zullo signed with Sydney. A decent Aussie LB option we missed out on in my opinion

    That's the way it reads.

What a great idea. It goes to show that no matter the rivalry, working together only betters the game for everybody concerned.
