Jones would help the Defence to be fair but FMD we need to try something different for a change

I wasn't really suggesting Rado. Sick of the merry-go-round of players and staff... and we aren't forced to take on journeymen coaching staff. The fresh start with Miller from outside the existing brigade was good and I would like us to be ambitious and bring someone in who has a new perspective as well.

JP signed on originally for his local knowledge of the players. Miller has that now so should recruit whoever he likes as his assistant.

Mate im only kidding about jones . Like grimario said too, im also sick of the same recycled staff etc.
maybe miller could use his connections in Scandinavia to bring in a foreigner.
i know this is a recycled name but how about arthur pappas?

    Uh oh...
You had to mention him didn't you.. Now poor old pv4 will be cleaning his pants and trying not to do anything that requires standing up (at least not without his "trust-me trousers" on, haha)..

In all seriousness though, Pappas would be tops..

I think we're also being naïve if we think the Jets and Miller didn't know this was coming. It could have been part of the agreement when he returned last year! Miller will have an idea already who he wants to hire as his new assistant. With any luck, that might be a plural with the new owner coming on board.

Now Pappas has been mentioned, BodyNovo won't be standing up either.

I reckon Papas would be wanting a management gig, not second fiddle. He's done plenty of time as AM, spent a few years managing in India and had time as AM under Zico (I think?). He'll hang about in the NPL till someone takes a punt on him.

Maybe once England get dumped out in the Group stages of the Euro's, Scotty can make a call to get the freshly unemployed Roy Hodgson to come out.

Roy and Harry (and his dog) could meet at Belmont 16 Footers for a catch up to reminisce.

That must have been a long and stressful 35 minutes of unemployment.

The stressful world of a footballer hey. Never knowing when the next pay check is coming. Tough gig.

On a serious note. There is one of our under 20's done. In a position we need some strength/competition. I welcome him and hope he can become a Jackson-esk type player.. and push for a starting spot.

The wording of the press release is interesting. Pointing out he plays centrally, left and right back. I would say the chances of signing Joice and not another left back are strengthening.

Interestingly, the article states that he can provide cover in right and LEFT back.

I am assuming that the rest of our signings will be for the front third now (and/or a marquee cm)
