you feel for a bunch of drug cheating homophobes who bought the World Cup from corrupt ****s like Sepp Blatter and the like?

I'm really beginning to hate Russia these days, more so now than during the cold war when they had nuclear weapons aimed at us

filthy, corrupt, violent homophobic cheats the lot of them, the more their broke arse economy collapses the better I say

the best four of six third placed teams going through means that it's almost impossible to work out who will play who in the next round

there is also a chance that a team will go through with a single win or two draws

Serious question. Why didn't Jets supporters travel to this tournament as a group to gain some global cred? The RBB are over there. What's our excuse?

It does reward mediocrity that for sure

Forgot how much of a joke WC group stage used to be before they went to 32 teams in 98
Does though mean that nearly every team still has something to play for in the last group game though

Wish they went to 16 or 32 though.

    24 has big faults

    32 at the euros?
    Half the continent?

Groups would end up be a series of forgone conclusions.

To be fair though the best thing about Euros so far have been teams like Iceland and Northern Ireland.
    Expanding has its benefits.
Plus it highlights how bad the Dutch are by not making it.
    **** the Dutch.
And it means more people are probably tuned in to see Ronaldo once again get overshadowed by the greatness of Iniesta.
and to think there are still people out there thinking Ronnie is the best in the world.
    **** those people too.
And the Dutch again, just for lulz.

Agree Iniesta doesn't have the highlight reels Messi Ibra CR7 Neymar do.

But he pawns them all every game with class

Correct, his highlight reels are 90mins long pretty much every week.

(But he did score the winner in the World Cup final joining the likes of Zidane and Griff so that's a pretty sweet highlight).

Seen him give the ball away needlessly one game.

That about it for him for bad moments in games

It's gone Maradona - Zidane - Iniesta as the player of his generation.
Iniesta is at the back end of his career but like Zidane there might still be something special left.

To be the best player on the best team at both club and national level for the best part of a decade is an amazing achievement.

Ineista is 100% team first in the way he plays hence why he doesnt have the highlight reel or get the praise Messi Ronaldo do
