They're assembling a great squad regardless of whether this comes off or not, however their depth in stikers will be tested. They won't want Berisha to get injured, as Howard is the backup. Troisi could also play there if needed I suppose.Originally Posted by belchardo

Essien will be great for Melbourne Victory as he's a very versatile type of player and for A-League he's going to raise lots of interest due to his high profile.
Meanwhile back at the Jets no coach, no marquee, and no ****ing chance of winning anything with the squad they have.
The Jets are a joke when you look at the squads the other clubs have put together. You would need to be deluded to think the Jets have any chance of ever playing semi-finals football again.

You look at our squad, yeah it probably does look a bit better then last years on paper but then you compare how most of the other clubs have strengthened and I think realistically we are looking at bottom 3 again. A couple of teams would have to have major blowouts for us to even improve on 8th.

we nearly always improve our squad on paper - just not by as much as the others, hence the gap gets wider each year.

Currently 1-0 up, Hoole scored, same goal hes been scoring all pre season, cut in then smash it back near post.
Was a good finish. The cattle is looking good at the moment in my opinion. We'll see how they go once we are out of the pre season.
Duncan has about 5x the touches of any of our other players. Good to see Jones making his mark early.
