Yep I know what you're getting at but they have a hell of a lot more control in how the team plays each week then an opinion writer at the Herald.
Criticism of Lowey writing a column is as warranted as criticism of a player during a game.
I don't care much to judge either group but people are applying their sensibilities to both and that's totally warranted (prob right up until the point that someone has a go at them doing their job, then it all gets a bit 'unfair').
