Considering the foreign thing. I guess it would depend on who we have leads on. Considering the Aussie talent seemingly available is Kruse, Burns, Holland, Yeboah, Antonis if we can fill the spots with these calibre of Aussie (big stretch considering our history I know) then it is a good signing. It also depends if the club has intentions on trying to let Kokko return home, this could possibly already be in the works meaning we have an extra foreign spot available.
are you only speculating on Kokko or know of something. i was hoping to see him given a chance possibly in a front 2, however these days it is very unlikely seeing anyone play a front 2.
yeah as a player i would be happy with Baro, however our chances of signing 1 of those aussies you mentioned are very slim, therefore i feel we need to keep our foreign spots open for the front third.

Yeah, in January window... and it was Jones who was punted. Ernie was pretty successful when he had a larger lump in Allsopp up front and played his best striker out wide, so maybe we will see that happen with both Roy and Kokko together.
I thought similar until Bodi* reminded me that Allsopp was fairly mobile for a big lump, which is something that Kokko doesn't exactly seem to be.

He was released by Melbourne Victory. Not much more to know really is there. He's either not up to their standards or he doesn't represent good value.
I think you'll find he got moved on so they could use visa spots for attackers, and replaced him with a pretty bloody good CB in Rhys Williams.

Who still made the GF and are light years infront of where we are. He was replaced by an Aus CB and really squeezed out of their squad. Could do worse than take players from 1 of the top 2 squads in the league last year.
He was a centre back for the 2nd best team which had the 2nd best defence in the league.

Fix this area. We keep more ball and blokes there are better at taking the pressure off the backline
Because He's far better than what we have. I agree that other areas need further strengthening but don't shy away from the fact this bloke would be a huge improvement on what is there at the moment.
Why not sign him and strengthen the other areas too?
So if he comes to the Jets will it be as a marquee signing ? Or will the club just pay him twice what Melbourne were offering him and give us more reasons to hate the club - if possible.
