Needs to mate those runs through mids more often and lauch the occasional bomb from deep to bring defenders out to him and create more space
Needs to mate those runs through mids more often and lauch the occasional bomb from deep to bring defenders out to him and create more space
That's bullshit
A good player will stand out in a shit side
A good player will still be a dominant player in a shit side
Look at Suarez at Liverpool carried them
Le Tissier at Southampton
Castro at Glory
Quality stands out regardless of what is around them
Maybe need to accept that Stevie U isn't all he cracked up to be
Milligan if he had of came here instead of Victree would dominate in this side
It got nothing to do with whom is around him
He would still be a dominant player amongst the shite around him
The only thing stopping Stevie U from stepping it up to be a dominant player is ability and performance
The bloke needs to work on his positional play something shocking and protect his back four better, pick up a lot more free ball and put some sting into his tackling
Then let's not even start about his efforts in attack

"official tyre partner"
ffs
Our Hydundai Garbage trucks are gonna look so good with our new tyres
Better than nothing
Nothing other footbal clubs aren't already doing.
Liverpool have "Official Baby seat parter", for example.
Sponsorship and partnering is about the only area we're doing well at the moment and if it helps bring investment into the club, I'm all for it.
What have we seen so far this season? Tyres, the money mob (help me out), the training supplier, Veolia, Greater Bank (again!). Hopefully the likes of Varley and Inspirations Paints come back as well.

yeah, i get that others do it to (official spirit of the a-league, official wagering partner of the AFL etc). i just hate the marketing speak.
if it has a direct and true connection, then give them a fancy name (i.e. official kit partner), but why not just make them a sponsor.
and agree jeterpool, we do seem to be doing well with sponsorship this year.
Marketers make money changing labels, simple.
Was "sponsor", now "partner" and will be something else next time a boffin in the US comes up with a new buzzword.

Hi all, I realise this is probably not the right thread but there you go. Match report jets v mid north coast football teams.
There were two sides from mncf and the northern side, made up of Kempsey and port players were shocking. Clut put the jets ahead after just 45 seconds. His second not long after. Vijuca enjoyed his goal the third with a fine celebration and then they just played all over them. A totally dominant half of football by the jets and so it should have been as they were playing some fairly average footballers. The jets played a 3-5-2 and cut the opposition to shreds with what you would all describe as a b string side. Boogs, clut, Jackson, vijuca and cowburn the regulars from last year. Kosta replaced around 15 in. Not bad and pretty tight to lead 5 zip at the half.
Second half started with the same side except boogs off for Hoffman and brown off for Uga. A 442. The mncf south side ,Camden haven,Taree, foster boys, played much more intelligently and compressed the mids to win more ball even getting a few poor chances that they couldn't convert. It took 30 minutes for the jets to score again and that mainly due to the introduction of the A team players. Nts, kanta, dimi, odonovan , georgevski et al. They began to dominate again only to have the mncf keeper deny them with 3 or 4 great saves and a dominant control of his area. They finally succumbed to sustained pressure and when I left with 5 to go the jets were up 7 nil.
Good crowd of 4100 attended within a friendly atmosphere. I did comment just before the changes occurred that I'd be worried if I was Ernie as it took a long time to score in the second half. $5 entry with 3.50 beers. Aahh, l do like living here.
Hope you enjoyed the report and go the jets etc. etc.

I'm unconvinced Mr Gardiner attended.
