Much FTA media up there? Remember when Yasi was coming all the "hero" journos going up there from 7/9/10 networks, setting up cameras, putting on raincoats and broadcasting the "approaching horror".

Remember watching a stable camera training on Airlie Beach main street at night for 60 mins straight, showing nothing but blowing trees and some lights whilst some twat rattled on about the danger they were in.

I would assume so. Can't exactly confirm though as I rarely watch FTA.

If the journos had any sense they'd stay away.

How about that thunderstorm at 4:30 this morning? I reckon that's the closest I have ever been to a lightning strike... the noise was deafening and I was definitely woken up prematurely.

Kids didn't wake up. Don't know how because you can't get up any other morning without them waking up. Can't remember one like that in ages

funnily enough after dismissing all the drama a few months back about that MELBOURNE DEATH ASTHMA STORM, Plague Jnr had a huge asthma attack at 4.30 this morning as the storm waged its fury.
