Ronny is a popular figure amongst the fans. We're eager to see him back on the field given he was originally on track to return this week a few weeks ago.

I think he's giving us an update while looking to motivate the player as well.

I think there's some mind games going on. I'd have no doubt Merrick and Vargas would be in constant communication. Merrick always seems calculated with his responses to the media.

It would not surprise me if he is in the squad this weekend.

Physcologically it going to be a huge boost to him and his teammates if he gets back out there at the scene of the crime etc

It depends on how the player wants to respond to that situation. A superstitious player may not want to go straight back out to the field where they were last injured.

Last Saturday at the bay Ronny was training alone without the ball.

Something would have to happen quick to get straight back on the field - need a few sessions of ball and real tackles before then.

Might be me but I've seen a huge disparity in his calf muscles between his left and right in the photos I've seen. I'd guess he'd still have some decent conditioning and strengthening to do.
