As much as I dislike councils I genuinely hate Ausgrid. They are a disgrace.
That is hilarious
Whoever done that needs a job at the Jets
Fit right in
the only harder organisation to deal with than an electricity infrastructure company is a rail infrastructure company.
That said, if i had anything to do with that project i'd be keeping some really good notes of every time i raised an objection and it was ignored/overruled. That whole organisation and anybody who worked on the project is in so much shit if somebody hits that thing.
Believe it or not I've seen this happen at least a dozen times in Perth. Western Power (Ausgrid equivalent) are about as difficult to deal with as you'd expect a corporatised monopoly to be
nice discussion on council.
Nice discussion on council.
Council elections coming up. Politics has no place in local council. It won't change by itself. Take a stand if you have the guts for it. Don't vote for any candidate running under a political banner. That's what I'm doing till they get rid of them. John Howard would get elected if he ran as a Labor boy.
Preferably indies but definitely not Greens. All they want to do is cancel Australia Day, remove statues and go climate crazy.
Local councils should be about rates, services and infrastructure and that is all. Vote for whoever sound like that is why they are there.

Maitland Council raise my rates by 7% per year. In return they build roundabouts and Bridges that completely fcuk traffic flow.
Liberal, Labour, Green, or Independent - makes no difference. All a complete waste of space simply rolling out the same empty promises every election.

you all realise that Council has nothing to do with major roads
Of course but the congestion is caused by Maitland Council selling huge parcels of land without infrastructure in place. This went up the same time as Gillieston took off.
This is now happening around Thornton because of the Hospital coinciding with Thornton North Project. In both cases the arterial roads can't cope. Last council election the local Green candidate even used this to try to get elected.

I sent my 4 councillors an email about their voting on certain issues. 3 Labor, 1 Ind. Got one reply from the Ind. I don't see any Socialist policies coming from the councils, they are more interested in bending over to receive entry from the developers. They really are fukt.
