And just had to cancel our holiday later this year. A few years ago the mother in law was running a family trust and Mrs Grim was an "employee" of said trust. That shut down about 18 months ago. Mrs Grim got her tax return this week and found out she owes ~$200 to pay off tax debts incurred from the family trust and not the ~$6k return she was expecting.
