Agreed, but you can't have one award for good players and another award for squaddies.
The mata example was perhaps flawed in that everyone knows him..... The law is there to protect the average players at clubs..... If rukavytsa, mustafa amini, etc etc were punished for a personal disagreement and banished to train on their own they'd never get picked up by anyone else.

I suppose its akin to an employer not allowing staff to update mandatory training/skills, effectively making them unemployable by others (or at least an unattractive employee) when their contact expires.

Dropped to youth based on form is a decision based on performance of duties, not on personal issues with a boss.
