NBN news each night -

Gone downhill since Ray Dinneen retired. Firstly, it goes 60 minutes and they struggle to find quality content to fill so often will put in Youtube vids (they put on the Italian nun on the Voice a couple of nights ago - two weeks after Santo did).

Second, their story priority makes them come across as just a lead-in to ACA. We have war in the Ukraine, kidnappings in Nigeria and a horror budget coming up - the lead story last night for 5 mins was some RL boofhead getting into trouble again.

Tash and Paul are personable but dull and get the job done.

Gav comes on as the "expert" on weather but is pre-occupied with surf - we could be getting smashed by a cyclone....old Gav will mention that the gardens are getting a drink, "but the surf temperature is 21 degrees and the swell is huge, meaning great conditions for surfing, check these pictures from Newcastle Beach". I want weather you numbnut !

And finally we get to Rabs and the sports team - sport my arse, unless your sport is rugby league, cricket, tennis, swimming, motor sport and surfing in that order. If you are another football code you get 15 seconds if you are lucky.

Last night - after the lead story on the news we had another 7 mins of RL in the 10 min sport break, mainly talking to some no neck about his mate who got into trouble (who the **** is Danny Weidler btw? Most annoying journalist I have ever seen). After that we had some Knights news and scores from Group 69 or whatever it is.

Although we did get some word from Griff and his signing, there was no news on the FFA Cup launch and the EPL finale, possibly the biggest sports event in the world that day got 15 seconds of coverage.

And we are about to head into State of Origin season when the World Cup is on - give me strength !
