I agree SAF soldieried on for far too long with the likes of Vidic/Ferdinand/Giggs and didn't strengthen his team enough.

Moyes may have different ideas and less respect from his players than SAF but something is up that hasn't come out for them to be so poor this season for so long. Most of their players are doing sweet **** all and not contributing anywhere near a level they can

IMO, oh yes it is. ferguson although being a cvnt was the best fking manager in the world for years until pep and maybe that club hoar jose. he'd get our current jets squad to win league. knew how to get club culture going like shankley and get peasants to achieve greatness.

I can now turn epl back on after 5 year hiatus and maybe even watch a united game, none since 99.

That's going a bit far. It's still easily a top 4 squad.

Moyes is just not up to the job. Tactically and psychologically he has a small club mentality. His interviews are embarrassing, his selections are awful. He's not a winner and never has been.

I'm pretty skeptical about it. he is a good manager but is he good enough tactically for a club that wants to win the champions league every year and can he handle the pressure? Mourinho was my number 1 choice.

Mourinho was the guy we needed to come in though. He wouldn't be long term but he would come in, galvanise the players, bring success and then move on. It would be much easier to bring in a Moyes on the back of Jose instead of right now in terms of the pressure Moyes will be under. I don't think he will come in and send us down the gurgler but it just doesn't seem to be the right fit for me. I hope I'm wrong.

The biggest problem is going to be the likes of RVP, Rooney, Giggs etc getting a telling off from a bloke who is real terms hasn't won anything.
Lets face it, talent wise this is one of the poorer squads United has put out over the last 20 years. For Fergie to get them to win (comfortably) is a testament to his man management more than anything.
Dealing with the personalities is going to be the biggest hurdle. i think its going to be very very tough for him. If he pulls it off ill be highly impressed.
