NBN's Paddy Kilmurray saying it's highly unlikely that any Sydney players will agree to move to Newcastle. Now up to clubs to sort out a deal.

Ray Gatt said a few hours back that Carney gone to SFC, no swap. NBN slow on the uptake.
Will sign Joice on peanuts.
what a bunch of duds this club are
We are in lose/lose situation now
We aren't getting any new players in but if we don't release Carney is he really going to want to play for us?
We will be stuck with an unhappy player... A-league really needs to fix their transfer fees/loans policy i think!
WE DON'T DO WALKING AWAY !
FMD
The Kid was a local in the EJ program where he got picked up by the AIS.
Spent some time there and that has now finished.
Now he is back looking to get a start in the Yoof team and work towards the HAL.
The Jets will give him a run in the NPL this winter make no mistake about it.
Whether he wants to hang around here long term is up to him as he may wish to go elsewhere.
He ain't a signing of note
Who gives a **** anyway. Carney will do the same to Sydney next season when someone else lifts there skirt to him.... He's had more clubs than tiger Woods.
I don't want players here that don't want to be here.... Carney, hoole, any of them.
We are rubbish enough without players not putting in because they couldn't be ****ed and not just because they are shit.
Just trim the fat and let devon head go. No point staying here as I said will become a cancer in the sheds if he does. Bank the cash. Take a few more months of pain and wait till the offseason to use the cash. Anyone who thinks we still a chance this year has rocks in their head. May as well use the remaining games to sort out who wants to be here and who doesnt. As well as blood some youth. We saw what rushing into signings did for us this year in being stuck with an overpaid dud like alivodic.
No - but saw the story on Fox this morning!
If we get nothing out of this I'm done with the FFA as it will be yet another case of give the big boys what they want. If the boot was on the other foot SFC would not be budging an inch and Carney would be cooling his heels.
He means bank the cash as in the salary cap. If Carney leaves to join Sydney, we don't pay him the remaining 80k of his contract which means we have cap space left at seasons end. If we don't sign someone, we can bank that and roll it over to next year. That was one of the changes in the last CBA.
As if the FFA are going to bank the saved wages for next year. If they still own us they will spend the absolute minimum again. They are doing their usual trick of doing everything to keep SFC (or Victory) happy and stuff the rest. The 'no transfer fee' policy needs to go ASAP.
So if Carney has gone and no SFC player swap, why the delay? If it's Carney negotiating with SFC then we have released him already and would still have been able to get in first and announce it.
IMO the club may have given up on the swap but is trying to sign someone else and announce all at once
Pfft - Carney is probably drinking bubbly with Arnie thinking **** the Jets, and they have left us to concede defeat like the pollies do before saying anyhthing.
all today has proven is that it will take years for us to get Australian quality players from other a league squads unless we pay massive overs or they are home grown (sometimes both).
naumoff would be probably first picked in our team and even he doesn't want to come.
if we let carney go for nothing (as if 80k added to next years salary cap means anything especially when we don't even utilise it correctly now) it will be the lowest point for the season imo. Lower then letting murphy go and not making a play at taagz
