Angeball is basically just glorified GVE at this stage. A bunch of possession at the back, then immediately lose it anytime they try to pass it forward. Which is rarely.

The poor ball security we have shown in every game is catching up with us.
I am very concerned about our chances of qualifying this time around....we have not yet dominated a game.

Ryan: saved 1 let one in. Still a gypo.
Back 4: all garbage. Smif at least tried to get forward.
    Luongo: garbage game.
Mooy: one man show esp first half. Member at home throwing shit at his telly.
Rogic: garbage. Made 2 nice passes early in 2nd half and folks around me were swooning "oooooh he's classy". Nope. Garbage. Gypo. Get rid of him.
2 up front early: Juric tried, but did nothing. The other bloke didn't even try yet still succeeded at Jurics gameplan.
Jedinak: dead set worst player. He's exactly the kind of garbage that some jets fans in here swoon over because he 'bleeds for the shirt, puts in a shift, sticks a boot in'. Except he can't play football. Called Mooy and Rogic off a free kick only to side foot it straight at the keeper. What a joke. He's the worst.
    Also a gypo.

Subs: Krause, still want to punch him in the face.
Timmy: should have started. Shit coach.
    Leckie: useless.

    Jedinak out.
    Ange out.
Punch Robbie Krause in the face.
    Prob still qualify though.

Remember when we were always termed a "team of part timers"?

    Wheel has turned full circle.

Agree. Our players are not the sharpest tools in the shed when it comes to making decisions about where and when to pass. Moreover, we don't have a high quality player anymore - unlike in the past when we had four players or more that were genuine starters in the highest leagues.

We are going down the same path as English football only thing is they started their downhill slide from a much higher point on the mountain.

Domestic talent is now staying in Australia because of the money rather than heading overseas for the required experience. Domestic talent then gets cashed up playing in Australia and goes overseas. Then fails probably because they are either too late, or too financially secure, meaning, they know if they fail they can always come home and make a fortune playing shit quality football.

The A-league has made it too easy for kids to make a very good living playing not so great quality football. This in turn leaves us with a national team of over-paid mongs with no incentive to ever become as good as they need to be at the international level.

For the money being put into them the socceroos are terrible and it's only going to get worse. The FFA are clueless on the matter.

Id rather see Milligan in for Mile, as much as it seems awesone on paper Luongo/Rogic/Mooy all playing together doesn't really work - probably just has to come down to which 2 have played the most club minutes in the lead up to national team.
McGowan got hammered at right fullback he's not agile enough.

def agree most parts of this...

Not saying that the a league has not developed.. it has... but 2 factors... amount of games played in a year... pressure... and also population...

We have a population of 23. million covering the size of australia.. within that bounds, in europe live approx 730 million... yes not everyone is going to be a football superstar. but still that population amount gives a whole lot more competition.....

There is a whole lot more pressure on players say in europe.. no im not a euro snob... but it is fact.

Who does Aiden O'Neil have to blow before he makes the 30 man squad.

Oh another note Stevie U.G still flying under the radar.

I got the impression it was UAE or bust for us in canberra. Certainly haven't heard anything about those matches.
