We should make a play for Daniel georgevski. He's a step up from any fullbacks we have an offers a lot in attack as well as defence. Limited game time at victory. May be looking for a release
This is one of those players that I'm torn on..
He is a pretty decent defender.. He seems to be a sh!t bloke, always diving and faking injuries..
Remember he had a few arguments with fans at games aswell
Good move by the club to move on both Cooper and Pavicevic. Although I don't think this automatically translates to one or two mid-season additions to the squad. Even with all our injury problems, these guys were nowhere near the pitch (unless I'm forgetting a brief appearance?), so using the January window as an excuse to move them on is smart. There's no point paying wages for another 3-4 months for nothing, plus the squad spots are instantly available if someone pops up in the next couple of weeks. I tend to think Jones is reasonably content with the squad all things considered, and is more interested in eyeing up targets to kick off the following season.
I'd leave a few spots spare for the offseason. Would rather sign a guys early so they have a full preseason under the belt. Not rocking up a week before round 1.
We don't need another player who is gonna spend half their time is horsepital. Need more stable-ity.
The club has done well. For players like Cooper and Pavicevic mutual terminations wouldn't be easy as they would have very few offers in the table and could see out their contracts for the (admittedly limited) cash. Some good work being done around the place.
