He should be a solid central defender in the a-league. Has a bit of a knack of scoring goals as well. We might actually do something from a set piece (assuming carney signs, we need someone who can get the ball in)

I genuinely see Cornthwaite as being no better than Josh Mitchell TBH. But I do have a lot higher views of Mitchell than most supporters, it seems.

I guess the thing I'll be happy with if it's Cornthwaite is it means Stubbins has at least a little bit of familiarity in the club to kick things off. Surrounding himself with people he knows will only allow him to settle in easier.
    OK

It would also be a good sign that players he has been involved with respect him and want to play for him.
That, to me, is a big positive!

but he already knows the club and is a better defender
Either way both Cornthwaite and Topor would complement Kew who would be the ball player

while I admire zads spirit and passion I agree with stubbins in that if you want to play possession football you don't need midfielders like zadkovich with poor passing and vision. Freeing up zads wage would also of played a part but total respect to stubbins for making a tough decision that I believe will lead to a more balanced squad
