Jones must really need the money because I'd be walking if that's the type of response my players showed me.
Not saying I'm against Jones or for him but why would anyone want to manage / coach at this club ?
Well, they said he couldnt do it, but he's gone and silenced his critics with a stirring 90 minutes of standing, combined with yelling and gesturing! Surprised he didn't appear as an option for MotM!
In all seriousness tho, he's had 10 weeks to instill some kind of hunger, desire, structure, purpose and ambiton into his players, yet today was the worst 90 minutes ive watched in a long while...
One week he brings Brennan in from nowhere for his first start, the next he starts Haliti after deeming him not good enough for the bench last week. Yet Clut sits in reserve on the bench. He appears to literally be clutching at straws!
I didnt expect us to play Sydney off the park, but I expected more than 1 shot off target & 68% pass completion...

When I grow up, I want to be Yohan Cabaye.

WE DON'T DO WALKING AWAY !
Also, is it just me or does anybody else notice that Wayne Brown contests more headers than any other Jet, despite being the shortest guy on the pitch?

With everything, including the crowd going backwards you would think the club would step in, but as per usual it's all silence.
Mr Lee's reluctance to bolster the injury depleted squad though is as equally to blame as Jones.
Does anyone know how long all these injuries are supposed to be?
All injuries are six weeks unless specified otherwise.
The Jets have 15 players coming off contract so there is an opportunity to release a few of them in January if the club have no intention of extending their contracts.
The salary cap is ridiculous - plenty of ways to get 7 or 8 players outside the cap in your squad.
The problem is we don't have a single player outside the salary cap let alone 7 or 8 of them like the big clubs do.
Personally I'd like to see the restrictions on foreign players removed and to see the salary cap gone as well. That way the excuses for mediocrity might cease and players would be forced to either get better or look for an alternative way to make a living.
If Australians want to be part of the league they need to earn their place not be handed it because of their citizenship status.
It's still hard for me to judge Jones' impact considering how many disruptions there's been on the player front.
But no question we are playing some of the worst football any Jets side has done in our history. I think last week in Melbourne was the worst performance I've seen in the flesh, and that was still with five or six first-choice players in the side.
I can't justify pulling the trigger on him with so many players being out, but I'd definitely be putting the feelers out for interested parties. I've never been convinced he was the man for the job.
