Or if we can offload Steele as well then combine there wages to sign a quality midfielder from OS. Someone on a 2 year deal that we can build a team around. But I doubt this will happen until the sale of the club is resolved.
This season is over as far as I am concerned and the rest of the season should be about planning for the next 2-3 years.

problem is....we get promising youth who fk up for 3 yrs and when they become aleague quality they walk.

Apparently they were 500k over in preseason until they moved Thwaite and Marinkovic to marquees.

Anyway Mcclaren in under contract for another year after this one and Perth don't have any salary cap issues so its not going to happen. But McClaren is the type of footballer we should be trying to sign if he was off contract. I wouldn't mind trying to pick up Harold again
How higly rated is Kale by the people he has played with and against ? As an observer I think he knows how to score a goal, is reasonably agile, and has good technical skills. The downsides are lack of strength, reluctance to jump for a ball, and he can go missing mentally if things aren't going his way.
Given the dire position the club are currently in I'd be happy to see Kale get a chance. Because not giving him a go just makes playing for the youth league a complete joke.
