    Do they stream in HD?

just thinking Optus + BeIN for that $30 odd p/month might be ok for all of the Football.

i think Foxtel is costing me $130 a month anyway.
Adults only content sure does jack up the $$

Nah, not me. I had Setanta back in the day but that was 6-7 years ago when I was still a bachelor living in Stockton.

    I stream BeIn.

I currently also pay for the Foxtel EPL streaming service, so I am more than likely to make the switch to optus' service when the time comes.

Easy enough to get free HD streams of any of the 13 Bein channels (3 in English)...and I will have FTTP NBN by next season.
Just thinking about the costs of data usage and time shifting though with this deal.

did anyone else see that fox sports' big wig defend their loss of the epl by saying that arsenal's loss to bayern was "an indictment" on how good of a product the epl is?

talk about clutching at straws; the guy should be roasted for that.

of course he forgot to mention that arsenal beat bayern 2-0 a week earlier.

i did see something about it and didn't understand what the hell he was getting at.

why not just say: "while we are disappointed to lose the rights, we believe that Optus have paid far in excess of the true value of the EPL. as great a product it is, the truth is it always rated poorly given the time differences and that we don't believe that paying more would provide good value to our customers. we believe we get far greater value from focussing on domestic products such as the A-league and the socceroos"?

Using that logic they should bid for the Bundesliga.

The EPL will always be the most popular football comp on the planet. Ratings are just useless stats - how many people are like me and just record the lot to watch on delay the next morning.

    Attention Computer peeps.

After recently getting Netflix I'm seriously considering cancelling Foxtel.
What I'm after is there some way I can get/stream BT Sports Via a UK VPN and is it simple enough to set up?
Cheers in advance to anyone who can help me out.

I have started using an Android media box with Kodi installed with the Sports Devil add-on. I have access to streams from Sky, Bein and BT as well as others. I find most games. Varying quality and until my FTTP NBN gets going in the next few months I get alot of buffering.

Worth researching though it can get a little complicated. Can be setup on windows as well.

Yep. Gone form every game live to one per day. Confederation Cup and Women's World Cup changed as well. All for one game a week.

It's going to end up that if people want all the popular shows they will need $15-$30 a month subscriptions to maybe 4 or 5 providers like Foxtel, Fetch, Stan, Netflix and Presto.

Game of Thrones, EPL, NRL, House of Cards, How to Make a Murderer, A-League, Lifestyle shows, Comedy shows are on a variety of different providers

It's just getting too hard, and too expensive, as a viewer. People will become selective or simply give up. Or download again.
