Just drying a few more now. Need a new monorail from Hamo to Newy
It pretty much changed after Nixon closed the gold window and neo-liberalism raised its ugly head. Prior to that people were much more content as jobs were plentiful and more often than not stable.
In recent times deregulation has led to massive swings in income distribution away from labour towards those that own the means of production - and unfortunately unproductive investment such as property.
It's true in a tautological sense that people have always wanted more but what actually constitutes more cannot be simply reduced to dollars - although economic rationalists have conditioned many to think otherwise.
People tend to have a target income and in today's society a bigger portion of the population are not reaching that target - due to changes in income distribution.
Hence, a lot of people will put money at the top of their list until they reach or get close to their income target.
Others, and it's a shrinking cohort will actually have met their target and be trading money for leisure /. other priorities.
Then you have the billionaire class who not only have a lot of money - they also are unable to reach their income target - which is pretty much complete world domination - and then they move onto other galaxies.

yep, this is where i am (and have always been).
I honestly cant tell you how much i make every year, i work so I can achieve things i desire.
its just that those things cost money, hence why i work for it.
its a vicious cycle i know but strippers just dont like it when you try and stuff a napkin in their g-banger.
Any rumour/word on the possible signings to complete the squad.
has all gone a bit quiet...
There were the tentative Vidosic links the other week in the Herald.
Also, Mark Bridge was rumoured to be re-joining WSW with an announcement early last week. You wonder if there is anthing in the fact it hasn't happened.
Given our 3 spots to fill could all be Visa spots, I'd assume that's how they'll be filled.

Considering he been here on a 2 year deal and done an ACL straight away I not thinking it going to be easy to ship him out of here
It also interesting to note there is a deal of brutality there if the club are trying to cut their losses now as they don't see him featuring
