We were talking to Leige, as Lawrie said. If we can't match what the loaning club wants, or what the player wants then we've tried what we can. We don't have much squad space, so you'd assume cap space is pretty tight. Plus McGree came for a pittance (again what Lawrie has said to us on the pod) so we were going to have to pay much more to get him again this season.
I reckon we tried but couldn't meet the (justified) demands from either or both parties.

That's hugely disappointing. I was okay to see him return to Belgium but watching him suit up against us will suck.
Warren Joyce got in contact with me […] I could see that this Club is going places, and I want to be here winning more trophies. Getting young players in and creating a good, stable base as a club is an important thing to do, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
So out club wasnt going places? Didnt have good young players or a stable environment? and Trophies? We finished higher then City FFS. Mcgree thanks for ya service but get ****ed.
Only going off your excerpt, but he didn't mention the Jets at all. He said pretty much what every player joining a club says - that he talked to the coach, likes what he heard and is keen to be a part of the club.
You're trying way too hard to get offended.
Just another young bloke getting advice from self interest types whispering in his ear City group like the real thing is going to come calling NOT.
Dead to me the second it signed with city.
Aaaaah... love...
Two greatest jets goals.
1. Griff in the 2008 grand final against gypos.
2. Hoffmans Scorpion kick against City in 2018 semi final.
