That Herald article reeks of club propaganda to say they are trying to improve. Whenever I see 'that's the calibre of player we want to attract' it tells me we know they wont come, but the club wants to look like they are trying.

Yeah but they actually are doing the right thing by having 11 off contract right now

Where they are wrong is publically naming the blokes they are after

To me they are adequate signing no more.
They ain't mind blowing my good and in Thwaite and Kalfallah case we actually signing them 3 years past their Best before stamps
As for the Gypo well he not that ****ing good really. He just better than what we have

As for our players off contract
Other than Raheem Sterling not one of them should be retained.
They don't deserve another deal. Spare me the BS too about loyalty etc.
Giving these blokes continual pay checks is us showing loyalty to 7th to 10th spots by accepting mediocrity

Yeah one of or both halloran and burns would be great. Burns not getting much g/time where he is and halloran not getting noticed where he is.

The lifestyle in Newcastle is too relaxed and as a result players that come here seem to switch off. I don't think it's the coaching because it seems to happen no matter who is in charge. But this sipping coffee and going to the beach shit is not working. If players want to go to the beach and enjoy what the club has to offer fine - but they need to earn it. So if the club is in the top four players should be allowed to enjoy the cafe and beach lifestyle Newcastle offers. But if they are not in the top four then all players should be in lock-down.

If the team drops out of the top six then I think management needs to introduce mandatory Waterboarding to remind players of their role and as an incentive to train harder.

Why does it sound like the players are getting judged on the last few games. FFS judge them on the whole season and if they do its hard to see any of those players being resigned

Halloran wiuld be a great signing in that he would do really well in this league

Burns would be not so good in that i cant see him being a dominant force

If we have the money to be in the market for Milligan then go for it. He would be a great addition to the squad. If he qasnt available then Jedinak would be an option although he probably getting long in the tooth


Issue for us is getting the foreigners right.
That where we can really improve.

That and where we can improve is actually signing blokes like Petratos. We actually need to go raid rival Aussie clubs and sign HAL standard players

I would actually go pilfer some Gypos. They have 2/3 that would be of use going forward

It's a great race as well Plague. Definitely something I'd like to attend one day. I wouldn't be ruining the experience thinking or talking about the Jets.

Yeh ask him if he's ok with the membah only thinking he's an average kunt and if he can put up with not being a dominant force in the A league but still doing ok for the Socceroos.
