The tournament helps us to gain a more favourable seeding for the qualification tournament so it does have an outcome.

Given it hasn't started perhaps we are allowed to change. The game against Thailand was a warm up.

And at leasy with Joe, unlike a lot of the selections, he can actually play in the olympics if we qualify - a lot of the team selected won't be eligible and that for me is where the joke lies. Select the players that will play if they get you there.

Also - the injury would want to be a serious one to keep him out of the tournament. Guess the proof will be known in the next few weeks.

Honestly if Sotirio plays for WSW during this period it's only helping other AL teams more the WSW..

I still don't understand why so many Australian Football fans are against this tournament - any international tournament is good for young players development, even if it is solely to get used to training camps and travelling and hotels etc.

As a jerks fan I'm annoyed we're losing Champness for a few weeks but as an Australian Football fan I am stoked that he is getting this development and would like to again point how out ridiculous it was he didn't get the callup to begin with.
    OK

The One True Joey would def pick playing for Oz over the Jets at this time of year.

Anyone not surporting his decision is a Commie and should go back to where you came from.

Not a bad thing to happen. The kid has had a good run and gained immense experience, played more than expected. He is still raw and going over there won't do him any harm.

TBH when we have our full squad he will be on the bench anyway.

If his form continues in this tournament I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets get an offer for him from an overseas club.

I don't think so. He has been growing every week on the pitch. I don't think its necessarily the right move for him to leave yet either, but I'd say there will be some heads turning.

It would be a poor move now. He would become like a Kwame Yeboah and disappear into obscurity

Or he could go to a European league not massively above his current ability? Kind of like Goodwin has done.

The bloke has one good game in 3 or 4

Let's see how he goes in 12 -18 months time before even thinking about Europe

Bloke like Taggart was leading scorer in the league and went and failed

Also where this bloke playing soon anyway??

Pato Vargas Dimi Roy Nabbout for the front 4

    ??
    I thinking he be benched

Europe is only a 90 min drive away apparently so could go trail and be back for dinner.

For once I agree with the member....some of these kids need to learn there craft a bit more before buggering off to Europe in hope....I seem to remember one of current players talking about Germany after scoring twice ina game.....pretty sure he is our back up right back now.

NO updates but I did see video footage of Roy doing running rehab during a piece with Kanta.

And I saw an Insta video Ronny put up where he was jogging on a treadmill
