Nah.........Just a shit coach, at a level well above his abilities, whose days are numbered. This club will never change until we recruit a decent head coach and CEO.

Josep Gombau and John Tsatsimas straight off the top of my head. And thats before we conduct another "world wide search"......... but seriously. First thing we should do is appoint a experienced CEO with actual credentials other than being the former lord and commander of scumville. Johnny T is one of the best in the business imo and it would be money well spent to poach him back. Maybe we could get some success in recruitment.

Then we run an actual recruitment process for a Manager. One that we don't have to cut short to locals from Toronto who wear I love McKinna T shirts. We could even consider poaching a high quality assistant from say, I don't know, the Danish Super Liga, a team like Aarlborg for example.

Or in seriousness we could tap into the Ledman Groups contacts for a coach from Portugal maybe. Plenty of options if we don't choose to just settle with what we have.

Roar announced the transfer fee equals $300k, and Roar and Jets are splitting it.

Gombau is with the National team and won't go anywhere. And isn't tsatsimas with an NRL club from memory after leaving wsw?
Miller is gone. Time to move on. If in your opinion Jones is shit then miller is too. Seriously they've both achieved pretty on par results with a relatively similar team.

    • Offer another contract to Ante Covic..........and we get rejected again

    • Ring every local goal keeper in town until one answers the phone to board a plane that evening, so to avoid fielding a 15 year old keeper

    • Sign an 18 year old injury replacement from the NYL, albeit has worked out ok

    • Offer a 31 year old a 2 & 1/2 year deal on rumoured to be 300-400k a season.......only for the 31 year old to break down

    • In an effort to sign anyone half decent, we offer 3 year terms and employ the equivalent of George Weah's cousin to seal the deal, just to have him walk out on the deal leaving us with George Weah's cousin.

    Hope I haven't missed anyone.

Would seriously like to know what good things that Lawrie has supposedly done in his time at the helm other than his trump esq twitter engagment
    New Year's Day:

@LawrieMcKinna So Babalj To WSW, Bridge prob to WSW, Antonis to WSW..... Bulut To Thailand and a Donkey if any one to @NewcastleJetsFC ?..😂

@lquiquer @NewcastleJetsFC give us a chance, you have no idea who the club is speaking to but still slam us

.......And after not wanting to tell who the club is talking to, because of confidentiality blah blah blah The CEO liked the following tweet.....

@lquiquer I am with @LawrieMcKinna on this. Leaking stories to the press means nothing. It's signing on the dotted line that counts.

Signing on the dotted line that counts......well after today counts for nothing if you ask me....

Griffo is the football operation manager and does much of the negotiations. You gonna extend this pathetic cycle of blame to him too?

Your negative antics on twitter are truly embarrassing. Especially when you consistently misunderstand situations and end up back tracking once things have been explained.

Pathetic cycle of blame? I don't know what's happened to this place but it was open season on Miller last year when he was digging us out of a far greater hole. Seemingly now the club can do no wrong, and Jones/McKinna are getting so much leeway, and for doing what exactly? Signing no-one in January and still sitting outside the top 6. Sure we're playing some nicer football sometimes, and sometimes it's utter balls, but it all doesn't mean shit if we're still out of the finals. And Jones' team selections week in week out are questionable. If Mullen isn't staying here next season, why not put Cowburn at LB? Not everyone rates him but surely that's a better long-term move development wise? He can hardly do worse. I'm still ****ing annoyed about the Miller sacking because it's now another one, two, maybe even three seasons by the time Jones is booted out and we get a new coach, and this magical re-build bullshit starts all over again. We had our chance with Miller and the club ****ed it up.

Sorry must have mistaken him for another. He's still at WSW and would not go anywhere.

On the flip side. When did Miller become the Messiah? In my opinion you put Jones v Miller and they've achieved on par with eachother. No more no less. Squad ability is probably the same. You can't honestly say Jone's is sooo much better etc.
Maybe its just a good thing that people are getting behind the team. It was starting to happen under Miller. Things were coming good. He ****ed up. We move on and now it's starting to happen under Jones.

I've never had him up as the messiah but he didn't do a lot wrong & had us going in the right direction after our most disastrous season. I guess that's my point though - why was Miller bagged on so much when Jones is seemingly given a free pass?

Jones has us playing a better brand of football. If he stops playing players out of position and just gives up on picking Mullen ever again and get either Kokko or Nordstrand scoring goals then we'd be in the finals. People don't seem to realise how hard it is to sign people in january unless you want to pay stupid money or sign someone out of contract who may not be good enough. Im highly critical of Jones cause he has made mistakes, but he never went 10 games without scoring and never set up his team to park the bus with 4 +30 attackin players including Devon Head

There is often a saying (many times on this foz), that the fans won't care about the result as long as their team is getting in and having a go.

Last season we looked like deer in headlights apart from a couple of games and up until the second Sydney game this year it was the same. Since that pathetic game where we didn't have a shot on goal something has clicked and we are at least creating chances galore, and getting a few in.

Of course we are far from perfect and the defence is still leaky but I am leaving stadiums now having enjoyed the match which wasn't the case over the last 24 months.

There are still games where were not putting in WSW away parts of last week any game vs Sydney. But for the most part the team shows fight and causes teams trouble with our pace which is a welcome change
