Wasn't it a power play by senior players at his club in Japan to save their own sorry under-performing arses ? From what I remember several players had more say than they should have and Arnold as the new guy threatened their position / standing at the club.

Id rather us get Nathan Burns assuming he'd be on marquee wages, but if we were to take full use of all outside the cap exemptions like loyalty players etc we could probably manage all three and fit one of them under the cap like the better teams actually do
