Haliti is a good impact player and scores some great goals - but he doesn't do it often enough to be anything but a back up at this level.
Bulut out of Sydney and into a more relaxed environment like Newcastle, surrounded by the right people could be anything. We should give him a chance and sign him until seasons end.
Whilst I agree and don't doubt Kokko is quality, he has not shown he can do that in this league. YET. I understand injury etc and I'm prepared to give him a go. I'm just sayin that I think the critics of Bulut need to see that this is a player that HAS proven he can be an out and out goalscorer in this league. Also we as a club aren't good at giving our overseas strikers a second chance. I was a big fan of Triff and thought he did enough as a first year import. Which alot of people underestimate. I think Haliti is not or never will be the player he was before his knee injury and it would be a gamble to take on another year of him with limited game time. I just see Bulut as a better back up option then Haliti in terms of ability and readiness to play.
