Furns (@SquadronNewy) Andy (@ajlane1) Matt (@ego2k) & Luke (@MrGlass23) review @NewcastleJetsFC @ALeague 2019/20 season
The team get together on Zoom for a 2 hour dissection on the Newcastle Jets 2019/20 season in one of the weirdest season of the A-League. They talk over their thoughts on the squad we began the season with, the players and the coach’s performances during the first half of the campaign under Ernie Merrick, the sacking, the transitional period under caretaker Craig Deans before Carl Robinson joined the club and led a positive turnaround in style, mentality and results despite enormous odds during a global pandemic. Some player stats were discussed before the team gave their votes on the Players of the Season awards (two of which will require listener votes to decide a winner!), before the guys gave their thoughts on the long off season ahead and what needs to happen for the footballing public to get enthused about football in Australia again.
