The Jetstream Review S16MW17 Preview MW18 – Shim, Hutcho and so much Furns

Matt (@ego2k) joins Furns (@SquadronNewy) to chat with Simon Hill (@simonhill1894) in the opening segment before discussing 2 @NewcastleJetsFC draws vs @PerthGloryFC & @MFCBulls #NEWvPER #MACvNEW & previewing #WUNvNEW @WUFCOfficial @AAMIPark

Matt and Furns are joined by a very special guest – the Voice of Football in Australia Simon Hill who was gracious enough to join us in the opening segment to talk the now dead ESL, his involvement in football after parting ways with Fox Sports and some issues around the A-League regarding clubs, lack of identity and culture as well as the ostracising of active support.

After Simon departs the boys talk over their impressions of the two draws against Perth and Macarthur, some player performances and whether Craig Deans is coming in for some unfair criticism.  We then previewed our next game away against Western United at AAMI Park and what personnel and tactical changes we should see before giving our score predictions for the game and the rest of the round.

If you have any special guests you would like us to reach out to to join us on the podcast, please get in touch with us via the methods below.

SQUADRON: Active Support Ticketing Feedback

The Squadron FSC Committee will be meeting with Newcastle Jets club officials this Thursday 10th November.

We will be discussing issues around active support: the new area on the Southern Hill, ticketing arrangements, security and policing, and any other relevant topics.

To ensure we canvass opinion from a wide a range of supporters as possible, we would like to ask anyone to send us feedback either via email squadronfsc@gmail.com or on social media via reply to this article.

If you have had a positive or negative experience or you have any suggestions or feedback on how to improve the new active support arrangements implemented this season, please email/FB post/tweet them through.

SQUADRON: Active Support Ticketing Update

The Squadron FSC has been liaising with the club after some issues were experienced with regards to ticketing for the new active area on the Southern Hill in Round 1.

There was some confusion about ticketing requirements to be able to access the active support area, unfortunately it wasn’t properly communicated that an unreserved General Admission ticket or membership wasn’t suitable (unlike the trial at the end of last season).

As the new Squadron bay now has a specific capacity, only a Squadron ticket or membership (which is a reserved GA ticket) will gain access to the active support area.
There are a number of ways to participate in active support for the 2016/17 season.

Membership

You can purchase a full season or 3 game Squadron membership. A membership represents a significant cost saving to purchasing tickets game to game. You can purchase your membership via this link https://membership.newcastlejets.com.au/
If you currently hold a Jets membership NOT in the Squadron bay, you can swap your membership for a gameday Squadron ticket. Simply visit the Members Services window on the left side of  the Western Stand Entrance.

Online

You can pre-purchase an adult Squadron ticket by visiting this link http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/Newcastle-Jets-FC-tickets/artist/1055546?tm_link=tm_homeA_b_10004_4 and select the fixture you wish to purchase tickets for. Click “South General Admission” to bring up Southern Hill categories. Select “Home Active Support Area” to purchase a Squadron ticket.
If purchasing via the Ticketmaster mobile app select “Newcastle Jets Supporter Area”
Unfortunately Junior and Concession Squadron tickets can only be purchased at the stadium.

Squadron tickets can also be purchased at the dedicated ticket window at the Southern Entry gates. If you purchase a non Squadron ticket and wish to swap it, you can swap it for a Squadron ticket at this window also.

If you experience any issues with regards to ticketing or entry into the Squadron bay, please let us know either during the game or send us an email squadronfsc@gmail.com so we can raise it with the Jets.
