No week off this time around, so in this episode Furns is joined by Matt to chat over the F3 Derby games in Gosford and any news that has cropped up in the last 7 days. 

We very quickly mentioned the Womens derby game where we unfortunately lost 5-1 to the Mariners, however as we didnt watch the game we couldnt go into any depth on the performance.

Then we talked over a comeback 2-2 away derby draw in the Mens. We discussed the starting lineup, starting well (again!) in the first half, conceding twice then coming back in the second half, some of the performances and some stats from the game.

Then we finished off the episode previewing the home double fixture on Saturday with the Men playing Victory and the Women playing City, giving our thoughts on possible lineups, formations and who needs to out in some good performances.

Unfortunately we cut the segment on predictions for the rest of the A-League Men round this weekend due to time (again!)

Furns and Matt return after a few weeks off (again) to go over the Jets performances. We began by giving an overview of the games vs Sydney, Brisbane and Phoenix along with a few talking points.

Then talk moved onto the home game against Melbourne Victory as the Men recovered from going down a goal and missing two penalty attempts in the first half to drawing level near the end of the second half. We discussed the starting lineups and performances, and a better second half than we’ve been used to this season.

We moved on to preview Men’s game against WSW, with a good performance and some sort of result a necessity to start moving back up the ladder.

Finally, we gave our predictions on the rest of the games in the round of the Men’s.

With no ALW game to cover off, we instead touched on the Matildas’ 3 games over in Western Australia in the Olympic Qualifiers. The Tillies have done fantastically well beating Iran, Philippines and Taiwan, in front of bumper crowds.

Then we moved onto reviewing a frankly mental game at AAMI Park in the Men’s against the Victory. 8 goals scored, a bunch of controversial moments and unfortunately a loss for the Jets. We went through both halves, performances and all the goals (and non-goals!!)

We then moved on to preview our first home games of the season, with a Sunday afternoon double header with the ALM and ALW Jets teams. With the Jets shipping 5 against Melbourne and Wanderers scoring 5 against WU we mulled over our chances in the Men’s game, and then the Women’s game.

We finished off by talking over the rest of the Round 3 Men’s fixtures and gave our tips.
