Active Support Forum – 2pm 1st May 2016

The Squadron Football Supporters Club (FSC) Inc is pleased to announce that an Active Support Forum will be held for any interested Jets supporters to attend who are interested in helping influence the future direction of active support at Newcastle United Jets fixtures.

The Active Support Forum will be held on Sunday 1st May 2016 in the function room at the Lambton Bowling, Sports and Recreation Club at Karoola Rd, Lambton. The Forum will begin at 2pm sharp. All ages are welcome to attend, attendees under 18 only have to avoid approaching the bar areas.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP via the Facebook Event link so we will have an idea of numbers https://www.facebook.com/events/1124570420927380/
Please also share the event via social media and invite any other Jets supporters you think might be interested to help spread the word.

We are keen to canvass as much feedback as possible from any and all supporters who genuinely have constructive suggestions and ideas to offer in order for active support for the Newcastle United Jets FC to move forward and grow into the future.

Active support also needs committed and creative people to be involved regularly to help with producing tifo (flags, banners and displays), gameday activities and fundraising initiatives.  On a regular basis, new active supporters need to replace those who can longer be involved due to family, sporting or work commitments. For active support to continue in Newcastle, people who want to be involved need to put their hand up to join in, even if its only on a semi-regular basis. If you have ever wanted to be involved in active support but haven’t had the chance, now is the time to come along, meet other active supporters, and share your point of view.

After the Forum has concluded, we invite everyone to hang around in the function room and watch the 2016 A-League Grand Final which kicks off at 4pm.

We look forward to seeing you at Lambton Bowlo.

The Jetstream Podcast Ep59 – Spoons Ahoy

Furns (@newyboys) hosts the final review episode of the regular season and is joined by David (@JeterPool) and Emma (@Synapse101).

After the opening question, we spend an inordinate amount of time discussing a 4-2 F3 Derby victory away to the Mariners. We go through as many aspects of the game as possible, review the overall performance of the team as well as all the major talking points (including the many goals). As there was no Jetstream Extra this week (we were in no state to interview anybody), we have also included Scott Millers post match press conference.
We then briefly cover off some points on the ongoing ownership saga, before we preview and give our tips on Week 1 of the A-League Finals and who will take out the Championship.
