The Jetseason Offstream Ep61 – Undiagnosed Dyslexia

In this offseason edition furns (@newyboys) is joined by David (@JeterPool) and Emma (@Synapse101) to run the rule over all the news occurring in the last few weeks. We discuss the ownership saga finally being over at the Jets, with the club sold to the Ledman Group. We give our early thoughts on the new chairman Martin Lee and what we would like to see accomplished in the next few months, by the end of the season and in the next few years. We also discuss the appointment of Lawrie McKinna as the Jets new CEO.

We also chat about the new Jets memberships now on sale, transfers in and out of the club since the end of season podcast and finish off by going over some questions and discussion points from social media.

FEEDBACK: Away Days Are Boss

We need your feedback!! The Squadron is looking to get things kickstarted early for next season, and one of the areas we need to get sorted asap is regarding interest in away trips. We have set up two polls that we need you to vote in to gauge interest.

Firstly,  it would be great to try to organise an interstate away trip to promote to get as many supporters to travel as possible this season. We have created a poll for people to choose one game that they would be able to attend, and that we can promote the hell out of. For logistical reasons, we have only chosen to highlight saturday games as they will be easier to travel to on saturday morning and come home on the sunday.  Please vote on a game you would actually attend.

Secondly, for games played in NSW – we need to find out whether people are interested in The Squadron coach service making a return. Games listed will also include the Coffs Harbour fixture against City.
We don’t need to know if you are attending these games, we only need to know if you would definitely travel on a coach if it was organised.

Away games are usually attended by the more enthusiastic of Jets supporters and are a great way to meet fellow passionate Novocastrians. So if you have ever wanted to join in on an away trip, then please vote in the polls so we can get the ball rolling on getting them organised.

The Jetstream Offseason – Taylor Regan Interview

In this offseason episode, David (@JeterPool) interviews former Newcastle United Jets player Taylor Regan (@TaylorReegs).

They cover off a wide range of topics while discussing Taylor’s time at the Jets: playing from youth all the way up to captaining the senior team, his debut, his favourite centre back partner,  scoring his first and only goal for the club, his mixed emotions about taking the armband, his disappointment about not being retained and how he is currently going over in Malaysia. Taylor also offers advice to young players aspiring the reach the A-League. We’re also joined by breakfast companion Kew Jaliens … wonder whose shout it was?!
